The Agricultural Co-operative of Salomó
Since 1962
Since 1962
The Agricultural Co-operative of Salomó, as we know it today, was founded in 1962, although it has precedents nearly a century old.
In its current configuration it consists of the following three sections:
The Co-operative Cellar, dedicated to wine making.
The Oil Mill, dedicated to the production of Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
The Supplies Section, dedicated to providing the farmers with the necessary products for cultivating the crops.
The Co-operative also provides financial services through an agreement with its own bank.
History shows that the co-operative spirit of Salomó has deep roots. The first attempts of associations date back to more than a century ago, when Salomó constituted of the Agricultural Society (1907) and the Union of Rural and Agricultural Safety Salomó (1925).
The evolution of the Co-operative, generations of men and women who have beat common will with collective management and organization, have made possible the success of this project.
Extra Virgin Olive Oil “El Vergerars” is made exclusively from the Arbequina variety of olives that are produced within the territories of the Salomó Agricultural Co-operative.
Alfa de Salomó Exclusively produced using the finest of grapes from the vintage of 2012 and comprised from the varieties of Xarel·lo, Parellada and Chardonnay, l’Alfa de Salomó.
